The Garden Hopper Poem by John W. McEwers

The Garden Hopper

There was a grasshopper in my garden
Looking at me with his bug eyes.
And couldn't keep from thinking
How much more he must know
than me.
He sees the dirt,
He sees the early roots
And what he sees is so big,
Biggeer than me.
