The edge is here, a line unseen,
I thought I'd never stand between.
A long road walked, with sun and rain,
Joy kissed my face, then sorrow's pain.
Illness came, a scary guest,
Then left, and put me to the test.
Like extra time, the game goes on,
A bonus life, when hope was gone.
Each breath, a gift, a reason why,
I see the blue, I feel the sky.
For all I've known, the good, the bad,
I'm thankful, truly, deeply glad.
The years ahead, a canvas bright,
I'm ready now, with all my might.
For new adventures, waiting near,
No longer bound by doubt or fear.
