The Girl Who Stole The Stars Poem by Radley So.

The Girl Who Stole The Stars

A dream I had which I could not ignore,
Came upon me one night in a hurry.
Beneath the starry skies she did call for
my name- and -thus I left in a flurry.
She was the girl who stole the stars and fled,
And to the corner of the earth she ran.
I begged and plead but what I got instead,
Was the appearance of another man.
I fell and cried out, “What the hell is this? ”
He had blocked my path and her cheek he kissed.
I swung my fist but I happened to miss,
From the look on his face he looked quite pissed.
And then he jumped two hundred feet away,
Where she held onto my weak beating heart.
Together they looked at me with dismay,
And our worlds they began to break apart.
So was a dream that I could not ignore,
The stars I tried to recapture but failed.
Now I sit alone on this fading shore,
She stole the stars and my heart and prevailed.
