The Girl Who Wants You To See Poem by Rhiannon blackbird

The Girl Who Wants You To See

Her thoughts are unwanted,
Her words go unheard,
So she hides her eyes,
and silence falls upon her cries,

Sometimes she screams,
wishing they'll hear,
sometimes she smiles,
And fakes out of fear,

Do they care? ,
Do they know? ,
Are things real? ,
Are they so? ,

Though surrounded with love,
A life she knows should be great,
It is not pure as the dove,
But secretly `tis filled with hate,

Since birth she could not tell,
Who in life was from heaven or from hell,
Thoughts which filled her head,
Made it impossible to go to bed,

When the girl would wake,
Her mind demanding thoughts again would take,
As a child she thought of death,
what it was like to take the last of your breath,

Dreading subjects in the heads of many,
Yet still her laughs were much to plenty,
Happy as a clam at times she could be,
Or sad enough to paint the pictures that you now see,

One poem a lone could only begin to describe,
This girl of whom is much bigger on the inside,
And though I wish to write you more it's time to take the pills of which my doctor did subscribe,
There for sleeping because of course I promise through the length of this poem not once have I lied,

I am the girl whose stories were just foretold,
And there's a part of my life you have now to behold,
I do apologize for them being so bleak,
But I am not always so compassionate and meek,

Perhaps my next poem will be about the happiest of who's,
The brighter side of me that tends to shine through,
In using it I hope to enlighten all of you,
But for now I must bid you the fairest of adieus.
