Time and time again, I find myself alone
I can't seem to escape her hold
She invades my mind and shakes my bones
Her memory veers into my very soul
I remember the girl with the saxophone
With a smile that could set the world ablaze
And a heart with pathways like a maze
Her eyes were brown and beautiful
Now when I see them all I feel is sorrowful
I loved her more than she could know
Her saxophone had a way of touching peoples souls
Her saxophone had the color of glamorful gold
Now I find my heart still within her hold
Times changed and our love fell apart
Yet pieces of her love still remain within my heart
Like a wound it festers with writhe
Her music gave me life
