May the lights of prosperity and good luck on your life shine
In the upcoming year of two thousand and nine
And may love for self and others in your heart grow
The good days ahead of you one would hope so
May you have good reason for to celebrate
It is said good things come to all those who do wait
Through tough times to despair you've not given in
You may be quite near to a big lotto win
Two thousand and eight for you not a good year at all
With few good memories of it for you to recall
One can only hope better times for you are near
In your life changes for the better may happen next year
Of the year two thousand and eight the praises you cannot sing
But two thousand and nine better to you may bring
