When God made Man and Woman, too,
He knew the good that they could do.
Yet their free will came at a price
That risked their chance of Paradise.
When Adam fell with Eve one day,
God sent them very far away.
When prophets came to prophesy,
They taught that Jesus came to die!
The substitute to save Mankind.
The only one that we must find.
And so, at God's appointed time,
Our Saviour came and proved sublime.
In every thought. And word. And deed.
Before the time that He must bleed.
The Cross of Christ is where He died,
Exactly as He prophesied.
Upon the Hill called Calvary,
Christ died for you and died for me.
And in His death, God's Pardon lives,
Because through Christ, the Lord forgives.
Because of Christ, no man could boast,
Not even he who loves Christ most.
The Easter Story says it all,
God chose to grant a miracle.
Lord Jesus rose and left His tomb,
Just as the rose set forth to bloom.
To meet His friends and bless each one
So miracles would still get done.
That's why Saint Peter preached one day,
How Christ could take our sins away.
That's why believers got baptised,
And worshipped Jesus as the Christ.
Two thousand years have come and gone
And yet the Gospel carries on.
To make new converts here and there,
The day they come to God in prayer.
Evangelists are full of praise
As preachers share Amazing Grace.
Because your soul is highly prized,
By faith, believe and be baptised.
Heaven is real. It's our reward.
That's why we preach of Christ our Lord.
The Gospel's worth much more than gold!
The greatest story ever told!
