The Green Bee-Eater Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Green Bee-Eater

When I was a child,
I used to think of
The green bee-eater
As a wild parrot
As had no idea about
And used to think of
Keeping come some day.

The small bird
But is beautifully coloured
Taking short cursive flights
To prey upon insects and worms,
A tiny bird green and blue patched
Looking so colourful and painted.
