The Green Grass Poem by Anika dang

The Green Grass

Rating: 3.0

Green grass
Walking through the woods
in a neighboring neighborhoods
heard little broods
lurking in the hoods
went in deep, stalking the sky
spotted steps hanging by
climbed across shoving hues and cries
up on the clouds to pacify
startling new world there I saw
same old creatures but unwritten law
sneaking from nook I discovered me
having all longings I wanted to be
joyous I got believing that's master key
now that's the secret for me to be free
Alas,
the grass got greener on the other side
as I stepped over to the polar world wide
so it can't be the flaw of grass
may be,
it's spirit inside that let colours pass
neither this world nor that one
could turn me to a delightful human
