இறக்கும் வரை உள்ள துன்பம் எண்ணி சேய் அழும்

பிறந்த சேயுட னேயழும் பீழைதான்
சிறந்த மாநிலஞ் சேர்ந்துபின் னாருயிர்
இறந்து போமள வுந்துய ரென்பதை
அறிந்து நீர்விட் டனுங்கலை யொக்குமே.2
