...singing in the rainy season is unpleasant!

...who have no stamina and courage are unpleasant!
Failing of the sufficient rain during cultivating

who have no soft heart= can this mean வீர மிலாளர்? Probably the poet's intention is that one who has no courage, can not use abusive and harsh words, which may bring trouble to him, from which he will not be in a position to save.
