Fully agree with the wonderful wisdom expressed in this excellent poem.
We were made in such a way that true happiness only comes to us if we can make a positive difference for ourselves.I do not know why the English language has only one word (happiness) for two very different things: If we get something material we are happy, our mood is uplifted. If we make a positive difference we are happy, we get peace of mind, we feel at ease and feel good about ourselves. The second form of happiness is lasting while the first one is transient. I think most other languages have two different terms for the two forms of happiness (e.g. Dutch has blij and gelukkig, Malay has gembira and bahagia and so on) .
A fantastic poem, Dr. John. A super 10 from me
