The Happy Season Poem by Randy McClave

The Happy Season

It is now near the season
When friends come visiting you for a reason,
It is that time of year
When they will bring you smiles and good cheer.
They will call you on the phone
Talking with you in a celebrating happy tone,
Another year has come and past
Since you have seen or heard from them last.
They are browsing through their catalog's and flyers
Checking out this or that for happy buyers,
Then they are going to different shops
They're making many exciting wishes and stops.
It is again that happy time of year which brings joy
That occurs yearly for all to celebrate and enjoy,
Many already have their buying list already in hand
Which will cost someone almost a grand.
You again are not on their buying list
This year or last year one with your name on it didn't exist,
They though sleep happily in their sack
Because, they decided not to buy for you or pay you back.
They soon will start contacting you everyday
Starting early in February they are excited to say,
They will keep asking you how are you and how have you been
Because, it's income tax return time soon again.
