The Hare Poem by Driss Ezzireg

The Hare

Rating: 3.5

She hopped and hopped
Then stopped.
Then hopped and hopped
And stopped.
A pleasure for the eyes!
She stretched up her ears.
She sensed me near.
I sensed her fear.
A nuisance.
The shrubs hid her.
I stretched up my neck
To see her neck.
I felt tired
When I fired.
I needed that hare
For my supper.
