The Hawk-Eyed Evening Walker Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Hawk-Eyed Evening Walker

She is a callous charmer of boys;
not by spending words or sending pimps;
Her bobbing breasts would rattle the youths
lure and tempt them to fall in her net.
See her walking like a sports-guy
around the square walkway in the park,
with herbs, trees and flowers of all colours!
The callow youths who haven't bathed
in the deep spring of pleasure dare to walk into her
with a ‘Hi' and get her nod after pursuing her
for three rounds in the park and follow her
till her bedroom which is a heaven of heavens
with silk wraped bed and the pillows shining
in the glimmering lamp. She walks the walk
until the youth balks! The flush on her cheeks,
her sweeping glances, the bewitching smiles,
her silken voice and her manners elegant-
all these assets enhance her worth!
In the twilight of every Sunday, I am fortunate
to see the hawk-eyed maid launching the walk on
and go back home with a coveted catch.
The beauteous earth is overflowing with mirth!
