The Headlong Fall Of Hope! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Headlong Fall Of Hope!

Rating: 5.0

The dazzling smiles which hovered on your lips
made me think, I were in your beauteous heart.
To build the fort of love, you gave me some tips
but to fulfill that dream, I failed in that art.

Your unflinching stare made me to stumble
and I figured that I have burgled a star.
How an NRI made our heaven crumble
wangling onto our vale of flowers to mar?

From the trough one can try and reach the crest.
But once fallen from the peak, no hope to rise!
To throw me off, every breath heaved your chest.
Which God wove your life with a pack of lies?

Drinking philter keeps one for ever in the pink.
A sip of desire whacks the ship of love to sink.

Drinking philter keeps one for ever in the pink. A sip of desire whacks the ship of love to sink.......... Interesting lines! Do you mean to say that falling in love is like falling into a trap! Those who have once failed in love, carry the scar all through life! Quite sad! ...... Beautifully put!
