The healing Word! The healing Lord! Both teach us how to pray,
Beyond the thoughts of some reward, compassion leads the way.

In those times, we pray for others, not for ourselves alone,
Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and others that we've known.

We even pray for strangers, too, not knowing all their needs,
Both for the Gentile and the Jew, for we know prayer succeeds.

God has blessed this world with teachers, so children understand,
God has blessed this world with preachers, so we can hold Christ's hand.
God has blessed this world with pastors, who love to give advice,
To find our Lord and Master so we find Paradise!
