The heart in pain
a joy that's gone,
leaves me feeling empty
like a forgotten song.

A beat so slow
filled with pain,
and i sit here wondering
if the heart will ever feel the same again.

It fell hard
so deep in this sorrow,
but still hoping
for a better tomorrow.

So here I sit with this heart in pain,
hoping for a life that's not in vain.

But until then
I will carry on,
with this pain in heart
and this shattered song.
