There's a monster inside
so cruel and heartless,
it must not be revealed
and must be kept suppressed.

It's rage frightens my soul
and fills my bones with fear,
I know if it's unleashed
destruction and loss are near.

So I have to keep it
caged and locked tight,
praying and hoping
that it won't see the light.

But now I am used to it
used to silence that monster inside,
so used that no one
can even guess what I hide.
