The Heart Of The Dame Trembles While Waiting For Her Lover To Come!
O' my maid friend! I don't know whether my lover -
Who is the guilty chieftain of the country with mountain
That brings down the waterfalls with sandal fragrance
To the forest where the woods had already burnt out,
- will come or not: my heart trembles when I think of it!

சந்தன மேந்தி யருவி கொணர்ந்திடூஉம்
வஞ்ச மலைநாடன் வாரான்கொல் தோழியென்
நெஞ்ச நடுங்கி வரும்.2 புல்லங்காடனார், கைந்நிலை
