The Higher Form Of Myself Poem by O. A.

The Higher Form Of Myself

The Higher Form of Myself

I have heart, but I don't have Star Power
I can be smart or full of wit, but I don't have it
That thing, that makes people look and stare
And say, there goes that celebrity poet right there
I wonder what he's up to, and who cuts his ol' hair?
Most people may look and stare, but they don't care...
But when I stand in front of them all transformed now
Transcending into the vehicle of the poem that is read
And they see and witness the higher form of myself
The magic they feel is the electricity in the air
The genius of the crowd as they get loud
As I recite my lines from my mouth
And Turn This Mutha Out...
And Turn This Mutha Out...

O.A.
