A wonderful time, the most wonderful time of the year to hear some say it
A time to spend with family and friends,
The holidays are colorful and bright and try so desperately to cover the rot underneath
The feeling of crippling loneliness that comes when the days get shorter
The darkness lingers, the thoughts get louder
I remember one Christmas spending it at the top of a parking deck eating candy just listening to the cars on the highway
The buzz of people but yet feeling so utterly alone
An abundance of food, family, and feelings of dread.
The holidays, what a wonderful time.
