It is not a given
That every morning
The human spirit will wake up
And tend to the heart
And bring happiness to our lives

The human Spirit is a living being
In need of attention & care
The human spirit is fed kindness, compassion and love
The human spirit is showered with humility at every moment
The human spirit is given moments of Silence
To allow renewal and regrowth
The human spirit is elevated by good deeds

The human spirit can be contaminated
Diluted with malicious chemicals
Overpowered by evil
The human spirit is like a flower
Feeding on sunlight
Attracting beauty and life
With its colourful petals
Beautiful fragrance
And sweet nectar
The human spirit is Love
