The Idea Poem by Paul Warren

The Idea

The idea was born of youth
When it didn't matter about the truth
He nurtured it as he grew
With full intent to follow it through

But it died as he aged with time
As things will when they wilt on the vine
Until now when he tried to recall
Why he started it then when it meant all.
