The Importance Of Family
It's been four weeks since
I landed on this forsaken
island
I'm all alone here
there are no animals to be seen
and the waves are
quiet
against the beach
I miss
facilities, like electricity and bathrooms
and TV
but most of all I miss
my family
I haven't seen them for so long
they thought this trip was
a bad idea
but I got on the boat anyways
and our last conversation
was an argument
how I miss my son's laugh
and my wife's
cooking
they were so tender
so sweet
but I had to eat them to survive.
I love this poem. I had to read the surprise ending over again! I love being surprised like this. You have a great sense of humor and the writing is fine too.

If family members are not seen for long time this is so sad. All should feel this truth and motivate each other. Life of each individual is precious and lobe for each other build the home as paradise. This poem is an excellent poem very well penned.
