The Incredible Army Poem by Nishi Kumari

The Incredible Army

Breathes were full of terror and anxiety
Hiding behind those freezing snow rocks
in the dismal night
The commander of the army with shrill
determination and shinny eyes
The enemies were stronger in number
walking closer like the cruel claws of
death
They left only a few pledged to
die till their last inch
They were struggling with their
cold feet but eyes full of fire
His ears could hear the diminishing
voices of his people till
they vanished
One by one they all died
in front of his presence
His heart outraged with the
anguish but he kept fighting
as he was still alive
He left only with a few more
bullets all alone for the
sake of his motherland
A huge trauma came over his
mind and he crushed down
in the snow
He saw his family in the
silvery mist awaiting for
him for so long to see
The firing began in a terrific
way and the snow hiding him
broke away
He stood up like a fierce creature
with all of his leftover arms
Killed many of the foes taking
countless bullets all over him
He fell down and splashed in
the red river of sacrifice
The air was numb and constant
when his wife washed her
vermilion away
The natives wondered why
she didn't cry over his
dead body
' I will complete his unfinished
duty when I grow up for sure'
said his ten years old son
with the same shinny shrill
in his eyes....
