The Inner Circle Poem by Laura Anne

The Inner Circle

Rating: 5.0

You draw lines that cannot be crossed
We are outsiders; dare not let us in…
What are you afraid of, what’s the secret that can’t be known?
Are you afraid that your perfect image will be shattered?
We’ll find out you’re not as flawless as you want us to think…
That it’s not all happiness and roses…and you have quandaries too
Don’t be apprehensive, after all we are family now…

But now...It's too late, your controlling means have taken it's toll
There is nothing left to say, you have alienated us for too long
And what do you have to show for this selfish behavior...
Shattered lives...
