The Intoxicating Love Poem by vinitha nandagopal

The Intoxicating Love

Rating: 5.0

Whenever you heard the whisper of a light drizzle;
Whenever you felt the gentle cool breeze;
Whenever you saw the drifting white clouds in the blue sky;
Whenever you found dew drops clinging on to a blooming rose;
I wanted you to remember my love to you...

Like the soft and gentle music from a flute;
Like the light touch of feathers;
Like the golden rays of dawn;
Like the ripples of a stream;
I treasured my love for you all along...

You had to recognize the true love;
Which had been flowing uninterrupted;
From my heart to yours;
Demanding complete surrender;
There had to be a response for sure;
So positive and intense;
As an emotion so powerful;
Had to find its natural destiny...

And when it happened finally;
Leaving me breathless;
Sending tremors through body n soul;
Though not surprisingly;
I feel dizzy, even now, i admit;
For it's truly intoxicating;
To love and being loved..
