The 'just' War Poem by Bryan Taplits

The 'just' War

I'm good,
I just know it,
I go to church and pray
So why am I so shivering
As I go to war this day?
The battle is all before me
My guns and shells are true
But will the devil in this fight
soil heart that was once imbued.
But listen:
No longer can I think of this
No longer can I quail
But still I shiver so,
O' my soul,
Afraid so much I'll fail.
