The Key - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Not so long ago there were many locked doors
of happiness and joy all around me,
and try as I might I could not open them
or find a way to enter the doors of bliss
they held in store,
they were a mystery and I was fast losing hope
of the treasures held inside and spoke.
Until you came back into my life,
you are the key that has opened things back up.
You are the key in so many ways that gives me
hope and light a reason to work and strive,
I see and feel real possibility and know
that all those joys and rewards will be ours
because you were the key that opened those doors.
With your kind loving spirit and heart you
renewed that which had died bringing a spring
like season to me as you are an Angel so caring.
You were the key and I continue to work and strive
so I can bask in these glories with you my Queen of passion and fire,
I will give you my all because never again do I want
to lose you or the rewards of elated fulfillment you bring.
I love you so much you are the key.
