The Kingsbury United Shul Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

The Kingsbury United Shul

I’ve travelled around throughout my Life,
And Davened at many Shuls,
But I received the best Welcome this week,
At the Kingsbury United Shul.

I’d just moved Home to Kingsbury,
St John’s Wood was my last venue,
I’d informed them that I’d be there this week,
At the Kingsbury United Shul.

The Welcome I received was great,
There was nobody I’d met before,
But everyone was pleased I’d come
To the Kingsbury United Shul.

This small thriving Community,
Wedged between Kenton and Colindale,
Will be my religious home for years to come,
~ The Kingsbury United Shul.

For I’ve moved into a Sheltered Flat,
A Jewish Blind and Disabled Home,
To live out the rest of my days,
Near to the Kingsbury United Shul.
