The Kiss Of Life Poem by Abdullah Salaam

The Kiss Of Life

Rating: 4.7

an angel cries up from above
her tears get carried away in the ocean
in a dark room a little boy cries softly
at a feast dancers begin to entertain
in the ghetto people deal for a living
in the alley homeless try to find peace
so much happening at the same time
we are unaware of
the neglected son stands head down waiting
a mother cries, she just lost her youngest son
the agony of a father who just buried his father
the pain inside is too much to bare
the wind carries my name to faraway places
i see beauty in the eyes of a six year old
the kiss of the life is performed everyday
we have yet to realize it
