The Kite That I Hold Poem by Neptune Barman

The Kite That I Hold

Rating: 5.0

Its been long time
since i saw you
on shore of the sea
you just left me
The sea seems still
But i miss your presence behind me
once i hold you hard live a kite
to pass the storm
But a day you flew high
High enough to cross my limit
The thread that connected us
was too short to hold
And i let you fly high and higher
I left the thread
with a smile and few tears
In a hope of your return
Each day i wait on the shore
hoping for your return
if not then at least a glimpse
Days passed and am so sorry
Because now i lie on bed my dear
the body of the soil has been weaken
I can no more go to the shore
to welcome you back
But am still in hope
of your comeback
The hands that once hold
can no more rise
But my heart still beats
for the success your had
Wherever you are dear
Whenever you get tired
don`t forget to rest on my lap
