The Knight In The Valley Of Kings Poem by Cynthia Aluning

The Knight In The Valley Of Kings

the vacuum you created yields doubts...I want to whine!
as you left those promises in this empty soul of mine
torn apart and devastated, you crashed my heart to fragments
each piece drifts and wanders nowhere as miracle happens

you've stirred my imagination and caused some real affection
in a way you are a mystery that heeds a speedy revelation
I know you are real yet you caused me too much depression
inspiring some poetry-write is my mere consolation...

as I write my heart out in awe and dismay
I never lose the hope that you'll be on your way
the awaited encounter is yielding more suspense
as bits of frustrations weaving phase by phase

a bushy darkened path leading you to me
a gift of hope reborn is all that I see
anticipating the much awaited reality
to reap what was sown or keep a fantasy?

your face I could view is just beneath the fence
trying to climb over and claim me to a fortress
a knight without an armor shining mighty splendor
a dragoon with no sword but love-shielding power

aiming fast with a noble steed to a quest of no return...
to a long and winding road...to battlefields of kingly men
a misty-eyed queen caged in the valley of the kings
awaiting for Lancelot, the knight of her dreams!
