The Knowledgeable Persons Will Not Do Certain Things! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

The knowledgeable persons will not spit;
and will not pass urine and motion
on the following ten places namely:

on the grass,
on the green cultivating plantations,
on the cow's dung,

on the burning pyre,
on the pathway where people walk,
on the clean water ways like lake and rivers,

on the worshiping temple areas,
over the shadow resting areas,
over the area where the cows are sheltered

and over the ashes!
All are for healthy reasons,
discipline and well behavior!
