The Lad's Longing Poem by Jasbir Singh

The Lad's Longing

Ceaseless, mortal's voices I hear;
But After God's voice I love hers so dear,
From my sight you're many mountains far away;
Far, really far; from my place where I stay.

God's creation: no one is ugly and unlovable,
But my heart can have only one adorable,
O lass, the distance is too long and I'm at unease,
After beholding you only, at last; my heart will be at peace.

Every day's bright light is my relief;
It shows me the days are nearer,
Soon, I'll behold you, with this belief;
I'm holding this feeble heart, my dearer.

God is with us and His peace;
We both believe, we believe!
His love for us will never cease;
Is the reason to him we cleave.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was missing my love Premalisha A. Sangma when during winter holidays. I was in Tuensang, Nagaland and she was in Tura, Garo Hills. I was longing to see her so much.
