The Parrot Of The Hills Poem by Jasbir Singh

The Parrot Of The Hills

In the autumn I came to know thee-
When tree leaves looks like the flower,
In the winter thou were close to me-
When trees were naked and has no power,
Why did I even run after thee?
Gave unto you my time and me,
My heart why don't you learn this lesson?
Listen to Lord and be busy to thine mission
Why do thee even care about my happiness?
Depart from me thee do not ruin my kindness,
Why should thee even think how much pain Ibear?
Leave me alone now my God is there to take care,
I will forgive thee for leaving me alone but how can I forget thee?
When door of my heart was close but thou opened with thy heart's key.
O my Parrot, thinesongs were I always yearn for in the thick forest,
My dear Parrot, Thou betrayed me, thine lips were sweet but heart was worst,
Whenever I listen to your songs now, Parrot I always sobe,
I wish I have not known thee, depart thee, now everything is over,
Try to forget me and do forgive me for breaking our bond,
Dear Parrot, adieu for ever, live long thee, I will walk alone in this shivering cold.
