The Greatest Decision Of Our Life Poem by Jasbir Singh

The Greatest Decision Of Our Life

Rating: 5.0

I went with unclean hands,
To make a decision of my life,
Whether at this moment I will receive Christ
Or be condemned for rest of my eternal life.

O Lord, listen to your son,
I am not perfect and I have sinned,
Will you my saviour clean and accept me?
Your son who have surrendered to your will.

Oh! My son, how much I wanted you,
To come back to accept you,
How happy I am at this moment!
Oh! My son, at this moment your sins are forgiven.

Son be careful but do not be afraid,
I have marked you with promised holy spirit,
Be obedient and responsive therefore,
To live your life with bearing the fruits,

You have to carry the cross every moment,
And to live as I directs you to complete my work in you,
When you have endured hardships and lived so well to my will,
Don't worry I will come soon to give you the promised crown of eternal life.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
' This life is the only hell believers will ever know. But for those who die in their sins this is their only heaven ' wonderfully said by Ray Comfort. I never questioned myself what I believe until a moment came to be skeptic. I am from Himachal Pradesh and was born in Hindu family. We are four individuals including my mother, my father and my younger brother and myself. Due to some problems we came to Northeast with my father who is in Assam Rifles. I was in Wokha, Nagaland from class 6 to 7. My father got transferred in Lunglei, Mizoram. I studied there till class 8 and I got selected for Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland. There most of them were christians. One of my friend use to ask about my faith and I usually say I believe in Lord shiva. That time I usually think that he is trying to change my faith but now I realise he was trying to save me. After I passed from sainik school. I got so deep into Hinduism. I left eating meat. I begun reading Bhagwad Gita. But I didn't had peace in me. I had a bible which was gifted by a pastor on a youth camp. I use to read Bible also. I use to have my quiet time. At a point of time Bhagwad Gita felt so boring to me because of it mentions about rebirth. I got more interested in Bible. It's because of the conviction of the holy spirit and prayers of people. A point came to give my life to someone while doing this I won't regret. It was July of 2015 I gave my life to Christ and on July of 2016 I took baptism in city church, Kohima Nagaland. I am still on my spiritual journey. And till now I have never regretted for making this decision and I will never regret. God has done so much which I won't be able to tell here. May this testimony be a blessings to the one who is reading it. Please continue to pray for my parents and family who are not Christians yet. Godspeed!
