The Lady Was A Beauty Poem by Marilyn Lott

The Lady Was A Beauty

The lady was a beauty
All dressed in pristine white
Creating a bit of turmoil
One cold and chilling night

She decided to wear attire
That froze her loving world
She chose it oh, so carefully
As snowflakes gently whirled

She watched as delicate crystals
Encased the branches of trees
Naked they were for winter
For they’d lost their golden leaves

She chose a sparkling icy build-up
Laced on everything in sight
There was a cold drastic change
During the quiet of a night

For you see, it’s Mother Nature
The lady in complete control
She seems to play her games
That sometimes takes a toll

But you really must admire
The many coats she wears
We all watch in amazement
As she changes through the year!
