Peacefully sleep the dead
The wind blows gently on the graves
Trees sway silently on the fence
Birds and bees are seldom seen
A vast green field
And white headstones
A no man's land
Till a new member comes
A little square earth
Receives a new resident
The dear ones visit
For a few more days
With flowers and incense
And large tear drops
They wash the place
As they quietly mourn
But soon comes a day
When the footfalls lessen
Then never heard again
As life moves on
And so peacefully sleep the dead
