The Land Of The Setting Sun Poem by Maximillian Slaughter

The Land Of The Setting Sun

the warmth will fill your body as well as mine.
the strength of the sun is disappearing upon the horizon.
the body of hope glows with radiance.
We fight the incoming darkness back to back.
Surrounded by the enemies of light and hope on all sides.
the gods shun us for harboring the belief of light in all.
Now we fight the unending tide of fear and hopelessness.
our weapons set firm of gems determination.
We will live to see the next sunrise.
