The Last Chapter Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Last Chapter

Rating: 5.0

Another page is about to turn
The next to last chapter has ended
As the hand lifts and settles
A conclusion is comprehended

Emerging is a plan that is consuming
Will predicted shadows soon appear?
Moments flash and dart by so quickly
With certainty, the outcome is near

One so dear
Trembles with fear
Judgement is severe
Bringing a flood of tears…

Close the book bound with sadness
Hold it close to your heart
A lifetime of memories are seized…
Cold numbing thoughts will not depart
