The Links Of A Chain Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The Links Of A Chain

The links of a chain that I wear
Are held together with a prayer.
A clasp of purpose holds it securely
So that it will not release prematurely.

The links tell the story of a lifespan
Contoured and formed with a plan.
From its length a pendant is latched…
A symbol of divine strength is attached.

The chain increases in value each year.
With understanding, it becomes dearer.
When the chain is completed I will say…
With God’s guidance, I found my way.

With battles scorned your chain is proudly worn And God savors the way you deal with each day
