The Last Mile Poem by the Nickster

The Last Mile

She wasn't here long as I recall
but, to a heavenly home she was called
Her earthly stay was short to us
but, God saw her life was just
He closed her eyes & said to her
ascend to a place where joy never ends
Yes, her race has ended; her battle was won
yet her memories still live on.
