The Law Of Closure Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Law Of Closure

the other day
you did not say
anything

just this morning
you left me alone
in the veranda

got no messages
where you are and
what you are doing

when asked i got
no response and
silence is deep and
sinister

you do not have
to say it
the door is half-open
and i am here
to completely
close it.
