The Caterpillar was invented
For enormous worthy chores
Can you imagine if we didn’t it?
It’s a machine we cannot ignore
Many acres of wheat fields were harvested
Beginning over fifty years ago
The machine’s massive and unique style
Was why the farmer’s loved it so
It could take a huge swath
Of that wheat out in the sun
Indeed, it was a marvel
As it got the crops in by the ton
What would they have done without it?
We think now as we look to the past
That huge and multi-task machine
That also cleared from the winter’s blast
It worked the huge fruit orchards
Cleared the weeds that grew within
Ah yes, it was an invention
That was needed since time began
So if you get a chance to see it work
This enormous and great machine
Remember how much it accomplished
And how it has been the farmer’s dream!
