Panama has lovely butterflies
And butterflies have lovely Panama;
Like the Blue-Patched Eyed-Metalmark
And the Three-Banded Crescent
And their sister legions who flit at Chiapas
In their overwintering fantasy; like the
Otherworldly blue of the Creon Skipper
And a Glasswing’s fragile dorsal fire,
The Banded Peacock hides other eyes,
As does the Milbert’s Tortoiseshell –
How it wears its ethereal pulchritude well!
Discover them here, or in your secret season’s heart,
For in these brightlove wingworlds
Such colors will an endless life impart.
A beautiful poem about the variegated colour of Panamas habitat written in poetic diction. A well articulated piece. Thanks for sharing. Please read and rate my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
