The Less And More - Poem by Casey Rock

I would settle for the less and more
because I believe you are the cure for everyday.
the evocation of heart-wrenching joy—

so close to sadness it brings tears to the eyes
is a rare gift indeed.

Please bring tears to my eyes and chase away everyday
...if you don't have your running shoes on just
sit
it's okay
and I'll rub my eyes
like I yawned and am not in awe of your glowing, vibrant
balloon string.
Just laugh until you're all laced up and I'll
try to keep up with blurred vision until I just can't anymore and I
feel my lips on the grass and your shine on my neck,
and finally...I'll cry
until I'm too happy to live anymore
until I've had enough that today can't cripple

Because I believe you are the cure for everyday
and if you aren't, it's okay for now because
my vision is still blurry

very nice. As I read it, there was an ad for Emoticons on the left side of the page, a Smiley-face had big hearts bulging out of both eyes. 'chase away everyday'...'running shoes on'...memorable. (Report)Reply

I can't understand why this is rated so low! I think this is a really great poem. I love the idea of someone being the cure for everyday! Really good stuff.... (Report)Reply
