The Letter



Letter - if definition be
is the brain wrung dry.
Parchment like sponges assemble
where arid syllables lie

It is of breath and brain
Thesaurus -for better word
that dispels consonance
of visions unheard

Of punctuation - the disclaimer
of illiteracy -the dependent one
by what verbs have done

A salutation - the door
italics - the emphasis
signature - the revelation
not known before
