The Life & Plan Of A Homeless Man Poem by Angel A. Lockwood

The Life & Plan Of A Homeless Man

The life and times of
This man
Are filled with
Challenges
Beyond compare
Who sleeps on the streets with
A torned blanket in hand
Waking up in the morning
To the sound of clatter of
Glass bottles and crushed
Aluminum cans
Being discarded by the Sanitation man
At times
He's fortunate enough to
Sleep on the coaches
Of others
When and wherever he can
To hear or smell the sign of rain
Is sure a time
To make other plans
Life is more than an adventure
For this Multi- faceted man
Who gets by each day
By the seat of his pants
From his point of view
He is doing the very best
That he can
